Deputy Sheriff Jake Kuredjian Memorial Service

Deputy Sheriff Jake Kuredjian was shot and killed after responding to back up another deputy and federal agents who were attempting to serve a warrant on a man for impersonating a police officer and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon in Stevenson Ranch in 2001.  August 31, 2021 marks the 20 year anniversary of his death.  For 24 hours on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 starting at 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department will stand watch in his remembrance at the engraved monument at the corner of Stevenson Ranch Parkway and Poe Parkway.  The deputies will rotate every 15 minutes in his honor.  A memorial service will take place at 9:00 AM.
