Los Angeles County Street Sweeping Service
The Department of Public Works will be resuming weekly street sweeping services to the unincorporated communities. Please see attached flyer for distribution and for more information.
On May 1, 2021, Public Works initiated a pilot twice-per-month street sweeping schedule for residential streets in unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County. After receiving concerns from residents and further discussions with the Board Offices, we have jointly decided to transition back to weekly street sweeping starting November 1st, with all areas being restored to weekly street sweeping on November 15th.
Major streets will continue to be swept weekly. As Public Works reverts back to weekly street sweeping, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Parking Bureau will assist by enforcing parking regulations. The following dates are important to remember:
- November 1, 2021 – Parking Enforcement will begin issuing warnings stating that they will resume issuing citations for all signed street sweeping areas in unincorporated Los Angeles County starting November 15, 2021.
- November 15, 2021 – Parking Enforcement will resume issuing citations for all signed street sweeping areas in unincorporated Los Angeles County.
