COMMERCIAL CANNABIS ZONING COMMUNITY MEETING!
October 23, 2024 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Public Comment Period Opens + Additional Community Meeting Added
The County of Los Angeles is opening a 45-day public comment period for input on a draft commercial cannabis zoning ordinance and proposed business operating requirements for the unincorporated areas of the County. This follows a series of community meetings hosted in July by the Los Angeles County Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) to gather feedback on the proposed Commercial Cannabis Business Permit program.
Building on extensive outreach and past community input, the ordinance supports responsible, legal cannabis businesses while protecting communities. It also marks a significant step towards regulating LA County’s emerging cannabis industry.
The 45-day public comment period begins October 1, 2024 and will stay open through November 15, 2024.
OCM will host an additional virtual meeting on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. to give community members another opportunity to hear about the proposed program and designated operating zones where commercial cannabis businesses may be allowed to operate.
